After five months of battles on the ice, we now know the six teams that have qualified for the 2016 PAC-8 Championship Tournament next weekend in South Lake Tahoe, CA.
With the PAC-8 using the KRACH ranking system, Cal ended up with the top spot in the rankings and will be the number one overall seed in the tournament. Cal has also earned a first round bye in the tournament along with Utah, who placed second in the conference.
At number three is Washington, who finished ahead of their rivals from Pullman as Washington State will be the fourth seed at the tournament. The final two spots in the tournament belong to USC and Oregon respectively, with UCLA on the outside looking in as they finished in seventh.
With Cal and Utah earning byes to the semifinals, Washington State will take on USC in game one of the tournament at 4:30pm PT on Friday with Washington and Oregon facing off in game two at 7:30pm PT on Friday.
The highest seed that wins on Friday will take on Utah in the first semifinal on Saturday at 4pm PT with the lowest winning seed taking on Cal at 7pm PT on Saturday. The losers of both first round games will play in the fifth place game on Saturday at 1pm.
The losers of each semifinal game will play in the third place game Sunday morning at 10am PT with the tournament concluding with the championship game at 1pm PT on Sunday.
